What we loved at Yogesh Chaudhary’s SS’ 14 Show

Designers often find inspiration in places most overlooked. It could be something as mundane as a coffee stain on a mahogany table, the way colours split in a muddy mix of water and oil or the way shadows dance across walls at twilight. Often the most beautiful and creative collections are born through an evolved notion of a simple idea.Yogesh Chaudhary’s Spring / Summer 2014 collection is testament to that – he drew inspiration from the simple ‘Tee Shirt’.

Covering almost all your necessities for the summer, this collection ranges from sultry swimwear to a wide variety of separates across skirts, trousers, jackets and even saris. In bright bold colours the geometric printed swimsuits featured metal zippers and sexy cutouts.

Sporty luxe met feminine chic across easy  relaxed separates like bermuda shorts, wide leg pants and shirt dresses. Graphic prints in happy colours like bright fuscia, mint green and canary yellow were prevalent throughout the uber chic collection. We cant wait to get our hands on the textured assymetrical shirt dress on the left!

Fotor01012190348Yogesh reinforces our love for the maxi dress with his unique take on one of our closet staples. His vivid burst of colour and print turn the simple silhouette into a luxurious statement piece any woman would crave. Our favourite though is his tracksuit with the super cute crop top!

Our reluctant Stylista with an irrational fear of red lipstick, Rebecca is a library of horribly constructed 80s jokes. Ever the shutterbug, you can trust her to come up with an editorial-worthy shot of everything for our Instagram account.
