#StyleStalking At The Oscar Red Carpet

oscars-red-carpet_2839665a

This year, the Oscar ceremony was nothing short of amazing. There was a little bit of everything: incredible fashion, lots of laugh-out-loud humour and heart-warming moments. Fashion’s current darling Lupita Nyong’o gave one of the most moving acceptance speeches ever, while host Ellen DeGeneres took a selfie of epic proportions that subsequently led to a Twitter crash. And actress Jennifer Lawrence tripped. Again!

Oh, and did we mention that the very dapper Benedict Cumberbatch photobombed U2, while Meryl Streep danced with Pharrell, and Ellen collected pizza money in Pharrell’s hat? We’re definitely catching re-runs of the show just to see these moments all over again.

As if all this is not enticing enough to get you to watch the repeat telecast later this evening, then the fashion on the red carpet certainly will. Here’s our round-up of the best dressed celebrities at the 2014 Academy Awards.

Lupita Nyongo in Prada

Lupita Nyong’o did it again. Looking radiant in a powder blue Prada gown, the latest fashion ingenue took home a well-deserved Oscar for Best Actress and stole all the compliments for the night. We love everything about the dress, from the plunging neckline to that full shimmery skirt!

Charlize Theron in Dior

Charlize Theron looked stunning in a midnight black Dior gown. Clean and minimal, we love how her only accessories were a stunning diamond necklace and black nail paint.

Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

Jennifer Lawrence chose to wear a bright coral Dior gown. Combined with minimal jewellery, a swept-back do and demure make-up, the actress looked the very picture of old school Hollywood glamour.

Sandra Bullock in Alexander McQueen

Kate Hudson in Atelier Versace

Kate Hudson was a vision in this caped Atelier Versace gown. The amazing drape, the intricate beading and the fit make this one of our favourite looks of the evening. After all, no one can do plunging necklines as well as this golden girl!

Emma Watson in Vera Wang
