The final day of Lakmé Fashion Week marks the end of what is always a wonderfully chaotic and exciting period of time. We’re going to miss attending our favourite shows, chatting with talented industry insiders and indulging in a little retail therapy at the Source, but before we get all nostalgic, here’s our review of the top shows on Day 5.

NUPUR KANOI

Titled ‘Noir Jahaan’ Nupur Kanoi presented a collection that was both sensuous, sexy and incredibly chic. We saw free flowing contemporary silhouettes, impeccable tailoring and gorgeous prints. Incredibly alluring and very wearable, definitely one of our favourites of the day!

PAYAL KHANDWALA

We loved the Payal Khandwala show at Lakmé Fashion Week. Elaborate garment structure juxtaposed with a fluidity in fabric, the collection consisted of statement separates and richly draped saris in a vivid colour palette of magenta, turquoise, indigo, yellow and white.

NEETA LULLA

Twisting the traditional with an inspired Indo-western line, Neeta Lulla’s collection at Lakmé Fashion Week was elegant and beautiful. We love refreshing contrast and bright happy colour palette.

RAJESH PRATAP SINGH

Inspired by illusions, Rajesh Pratap Singh presented a stunning show for the Lakmé Grand Finale. The master couturier began with a confectionary colour palette of cotton candy, powder blue, lemon and lavender in dazzling lamé. Gorgeous pleated skirts were paired with sheer shirts and jackets all with a scintillating metallic shine.

The collection then moved to deeper hues of ebony and silver and included sheath dresses, jackets, trousers, and skirts. Intricate rhinestone appliqué, hologram details and unique surface textures made this finale one to remember. We loved every bit of it!
